New Season of Me

 Hi Beauties,

Wanted to hop on really quick since it's the first day of fall! Although i'm a summer baby, fall will always have a special place in my heart. There's a certain nostalgia hidden in the season. Somehow, fall has a way of bringing back pieces of yourself you didn't realize you had left behind. You start remembering the small things, the excitement of Halloween, friday night football games, old friendships, old crushes lol. You remember sweaters that no longer fit, places that no longer look the same, and people who may only exist in your life now as a memory attached to a season. And I think that's what makes fall feel so emotional. It doesn't just remind you of what happened, it reminds you of who you were when it happened. While it does make room for remembering, it also makes room for becoming. For me this year, I don't want fall to only be about looking back. I want to notice it while I'm in it. I want to remember those small things, the songs I play while getting ready, the outfits I wear, and the people I spend time with. I want to be present enough to recognize that these days will one day be memories as well. I want slow mornings and pretty nights. I want to cook and read more. I want to dress up and go to dinner with my girls, solo dates, good perfume lingering, fresh flowers, and my nights spent tucked away in my own little world. I want to romanticize the ordinary, knowing that one day the ordinary might be what I miss most. 

So here's a list of all the little things I will be romanticizing this fall :

• romanticizing school and studying instead of complaining 
• going on solo dates
• going to start back going to the farmers market 
• buying myself fresh flowers
• trying new recipes
• rewatching my fall comfort movies
• taking pictures of ordinary days
• getting dressed up for dinner with my girls
• spending more evenings offline 
• doing charcuterie for fun again
• celebrating the little accomplishments
