An Unscheduled Intermission

 Hi Beauties,

Sorry for the disappearance, the last two weeks have been crazy for me . Midterms truly drained me, but ya girl passed both of her exams!!!! Im so relieved and i'm actually feeling really good about the semester. The last two semesters have been really tough for me. There were moments when I doubted myself and questioned whether I even wanted to finish my master’s program. I’ve put so much into this degree, but when you’re overwhelmed, even something you really want can start to feel out of reach. Passing these exams gave me a little of my confidence back. I needed that reminder that I can do this, even when it’s hard. With that being said… graduation could not come soon enough. Next semester can't get here fast enough.

This weekend I catered my god sister's graduation party. I love any chance I get to put together a grazing table. There’s something so satisfying about seeing all the little details come together—and then watching everyone enjoy it. It felt good to take a break from studying and spend some time doing something creative. Business has been a little slow lately, so I’m hoping things pick up for the holiday season. I would love to have more tables to create and share with y’all. Until then, I’m enjoying the opportunities that do come my way and putting love into every spread. My god sister is holding my pictures hostage lol, so ill show you all my table when I get them.

Oh and I went out with my gays Friday night and we had a BALL. I haven't hung out with them in a while and I missed them so much. I was supposed to leave town that night to start prepping for the party, but I got invited out. When my friend told me hookah was going to be $5… you know I had to step out. (if y’all didn’t know, I’m a hookah hoe down baby!) I definitely paid for that though. I didn’t sleep and still had to be in Lafayette the next morning to get everything set up for the party Saturday night. Between going out Friday, setting up the grazing table, and celebrating at the graduation party, I was running on fumes. I slept all day today, hungover from the party and delirious from no sleep. My body has officially collected everything I owed it.
